    I was in a Prime Beef Unit in NY squadron. We did not go overseas but we did get to go TDY to other bases and had to participate in search and rescue missions near the base I was stationed at. 438 Civil Engineering Squadron, McGuire AFB New Jersey 1970 thru 1973. The biggest mission that I was on was to Scott AFB, Il., to build a modular hospital. My TDY was for 4 months and I learned a lot from this. I was a carpenter 55030 and everything learned was from books and as much as I could from the staff in the shop.
