RED HORSE AND Prime BEEF Celebrating 60 years
This year’s RED HORSE and Prime BEEF Association (RHPBA) Convention / Reunion in Las Vegas, Oct 14-17th, will be fun, educational, interesting, and inspiring. It will also recognize a special event in Air Force Civil Engineering history, the 60th Anniversary of the creation of RED HORSE squadrons and Prime BEEF teams.
We know that several members of the original six RED HORSE squadrons and Prime BEEF teams, which were the first to deploy to Vietnam and Thailand, will be at the Convention / Reunion to tell their stories.
Hope you have started to make your plans for things to see and do before, during, or after the Convention/ Reunion. You do not want to miss our very own Elvis show at the Silverton as well as the many attractions nearby. Many interesting venues are of little or no cost. Recommend looking at ‘things to do in Vegas’ on your favorite search engine.
Sponsorships are also available, which you may want to consider. Each sponsor can obtain a variety of RHPBA items including shirts, hats, coins and patches depending upon the sponsorship level. We also always have a variety of interesting items in the silent auction.
We also have some great news to pass along regarding our Gen Meredith Scholarship Program. We received applications from nine outstanding students which are now being evaluated.
2025 RHPBA Convention / Reunion — Access requirement for the Nellis Tour on Thursday October 17th
All attendees: we received expert advice from the Security and Pass Team at Nellis AFB. Because we are a large group the plan will be to enter Nellis AFB at the Visitors Center. To expedite our large groups’ entrance, a security officer will enter the bus and verify everyone has either a military ID or be on a list of individuals we have submitted on an “Entry Access List” three weeks prior to our visit. The form requires your Full Name, Date of Birth, Social Security Number, Driver’s License number and state issued. Security will do the required background checks before we arrive, then we will show the security officer our military ID, a VA ID, or a True ID to verify who we are to complete the verification process. Military IDs are in a nationwide database, while registered VA and True IDs are not transferable from base to base.
Thanks for all your hard work!!!
